In the early 70s, Léandre gives conferences in different parts of Quebec and discovers the beauty of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region. He falls for the style of this abandoned house, at the far end of the Rang 6 Nord Road in McWatters. He decides to buy the house and land, leaves Montreal and starts renovating and building arround the existing house. Renovations last 4 years.
Léandre also adds many other buildings to the property, like the barn, which will soon shelter goats, sheep, cows and horses.
